Painting, Kid Zone, Murals, Landscaping, Cleaning, Gardening, Teachers Appreciation, University Outreach

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Operation Project HOPE’s School Beautification Project at Marvin Ave. Elementary School on May 19th!

We look forward to bringing the campus to life with colorful murals and positive affirmations, gardening projects, teachers’ lounge makeovers, and so much more!

Attire: Closed-toed shoes are required for all volunteers.
It is recommended to wear jeans and a t-shirt that you do not mind getting dirt or paint on.

Driving Directions:
From 10 Fwy Eastbound: Take the Washington Blvd/Fairfax Ave exit. Exit onto the Washington Blvd offramp. Turn right onto Washington Blvd and right onto Marvin Ave.

From 10 Fwy Westbound: Take the Fairfax Blvd exit.  Continue straight on Electric Dr. Make a left onto Washington Blvd, then turn right onto Marvin Ave.

Parking Information: Two parking lots are available for volunteers.  To access parking lots, please head south on Marvin Ave from Washington Blvd, turn right on Apple St, and right onto Curson St. Street parking is also available on Marvin Avenue, Apple Street and adjacent streets.

Public Transportation: This area is serviced by Metro Bus Lines 35/38.  The school is also a 20-minute walk away from the La Cienega/Jefferson Expo Line Station.

Do I have to stay the entire day?   No, stay the whole day, half the day or one hour, the choice is yours! We are grateful for any time you can share with us!

Is lunch provided?  YES!

What do I wear?  Wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting paint or dirt on. Jeans and a t-shirt are recommended attire. Closed toed shoes are required.

What can I do at the project? Paint, garden, beautify the school auditorium and teacher’s lounge, there is a job for everyone!

Do you sign for volunteer hours? YES, we will sign for volunteer hours served!
