Operation Project HOPE – April Newsletter

School Beautification Project

We are so excited for our next school beautification project at Bertrand Elementary School on May 6, 2017. Our project leaders have been working diligently to make sure everything runs smoothly and that the students and staff of Bertrand will continue to enjoy their beautified campus for years to come. Edward Robles, CEO and Visionary Project Leader, has brought together a team of eager volunteers, ready to be of service.

Our three project officers this year are Robin Polito, Cliff Hiroshima, and Yvette ZR Rapose. Each of them have volunteered with OPH for many years and are looking forward to another successful school project.

OPH Volunteers Have Fun at the Dodger Game

OPH Volunteers, friends, and family all enjoyed a beautiful day at Dodger Stadium on Sunday, April 16.
“We work and plan a lot and it’s important for us to have fun together too.” said Edward Robles. “We’re so grateful for the Dodgers’ generosity.”.

OPHLA - Team2

Team 2 of the OPH Leadership Academy is rockin’ and rollin’ through their goals and overall professional & personal development. Personal goals range from fitness benchmarks to new careers, to spiritual wisdom. Professional workshops included finance, budgeting, project management, and team building.

A few weeks ago, the team surged through a two-hour fundraising challenge bringing in more donations than OPH has ever received in one day. Finishing up another team challenge, they have surpassed their goal for paint donations and is raising the bar of donated supplies for projects to come.

Stay tuned as we cheer them on through the rest of the program. We look forward to Team 2’s success and fantastic accomplishments.

See you on May 6, 2017 at Bertrand Elementary School!

Topeka Elementary School Beautification

Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers and generous donors! You helped make our beautification project at Topeka Drive Elementary School a huge success. We had over 500 volunteers throughout the day and many kinds of donations from Home Depot, Dunn-Edwards Paints, Target, Trader Joes, Buy Low Markets, Simply Fresh Fruit, and many more, including numerous monetary donations from our friends and family.  We were honored to visit Topeka again on Monday and share in the celebration and joy that the students, teachers, and staff felt for their newly beautified campus. Stay tuned for photos and videos from the project.
