Patricia (Patty) Soto
Director
Patricia (Patty) Soto is a Director in Community Relations/Local Government & Community Partnerships at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), a position she has held since 2015. She is responsible for leading a dynamic community relations team and managing the agency’s South Los Angeles and Countywide Inter-faith Leaders’ group, both of which ensure the faith community in Los Angeles county is informed and provides input on Metro’s projects, programs and initiatives. Prior to working at the agency, she worked for other entities, including the State of California, the City of Los Angeles, KGET, Channel 17 (NBC affiliate in Bakersfield) and Kraft Foods.
Additionally, Patty also served on the Arts District Business Improvement District Board of Directors representing Metro and was selected to participate in Metro’s 2020/2021 Leadership Academy. In her personal life, she has also been involved with a variety of other groups and leadership organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Advancement of Latinos at Metro Association (ALMA) and Operation Project HOPE Leadership Academy Team 5. Patty earned a BA in Journalism & Mass Communications and a minor in Spanish from San Jose State University. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Transportation Management from San Jose State University. |
